Baking—at the level I do now—happened naturally. It was never part of my original plan to become the owner of an independent bakery. However, it has always been a core part of my life. I was influenced from a young age to be in the kitchen in some capacity, I watched my grandmother, who was a cook, and my mother, who taught me all the basics of baking. Some of my most cherished memories were created in the kitchen with them.

After years of struggling with my health, I was diagnosed at 20 years old with a chronic illness called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. For years, I’ve desperately searched for ways to feel “normal” in my day-to-day life, constantly trying to balance work and social obligations while managing an incurable illness.

If you know me personally, you know there’s nothing I love more than people—and sweets. During these difficult years, baking became a true source of comfort and joy. Through these years of battling this illness it became clear to me that I needed to prioritize my happiness and allow myself to be as stress free as possible. Seeing the joy on the faces of my family and friends when they would try my treats gave me a sense of fulfillment I had never experienced before. My passion for baking is about the genuine joy I feel when I am creating something I’m proud of, and the connections it allows me to build with others.

I hope to share my love for sweets with you, continue bonding with my customers, and learn all of your stories along the way.
